Title: looking up yadb info on a previously ripped cd
Post by: jmilum on June 22, 2004, 06:33:24 pm
So I ripped some CD's when I wasn't on the internet and thought I could fill in track info later using the LibraryTools -  "Lookup info from YADB" feature.

However when I do this I get a "File Information was retrieved for a 0 of x files" message usually (sometimes it works though).

I have the Artist/Album/Track tags filled in with the Track number as the name.

These are popular albums so I can't believe they aren't in the YADB.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jeff

I use a program called the godfather for this.

The lookup individual tracks feature is not as accurate as looking up a CD.

MC isn't good for getting track information for tagging.

You really need a tagging application for that.

I'd recommend Tag & Rename or mp3tag.  Godfather is OK too, though I didn't find it very user friendly.
