Title: View - View settings - sorting
Post by: fdgsdfg on June 29, 2004, 07:03:18 pm
With v. 9, my most recent imports were at the top of my sorts.  With v. 10, the "sort by date created" or "sort by date imported" options  result in the most recent imports at the bottom.

How can I make sure the most recent imports are at the top, thereby obviating the need to scroll to the end of the list to view the most current library material?

Use View > Customize Current View to set up any sorting you like.

You can also save / load presets so they're always a click away.

(if you're using a smartlist, you can use the ~sort keyword to customize the sorting as well)

I had a very specific question.  Can someone tell me the answer?

How can I get the newly imported files to come to the top of the list?

You sort by Date Imported using the tools listed above.

Here's the correct answer:

View > View settings > Customize current view > Z-A > Date Imported

Here's the correct answer:

View > View settings > Customize current view > Z-A > Date Imported

Did I win or lose?

View > View settings > Customize current view > Z-A > Date Imported

You lost this one Matt.  I think he wanted you to call round at his house and press the buttons for him.  Maybe this could be the next MC service?  You could make clones of yourself that could be hired out to everyone who can't work out how to use a simple panel.

Humor is good.  Sorry if it rubbed anyone the wrong way.
