When I click on a link to an asx file, e.g.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00003CXCT/ref=ord_cart_shr/103-5736594-0569468?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00003CXCT/ref=ord_cart_shr/103-5736594-0569468?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER)
Media Center's download manager starts although the browser integration is disabled. The commandline for dl mgr contains a path to an .mcsf file, Meta data handler, that is registered with a Media Center icon (for what it's worth). I don't want to change this association w/o knowing the consequences.
Renaming dl mgt to *.ex does not help either. I can't de-install it unless I use a registry tool, however that's perhaps a little drastic.
The only workaround is to saved the linked file to disk and start it.
I would like to get rid of this little in this context annoying helper. Any ideas?
