Title: Question on MC10
Post by: NetKing on July 05, 2004, 10:10:46 am
Hi guys,

I have one little question on Media Center's 10 media library:

  How can I make MC not  to display songs from playlists and from their original location simultaneously in the Artist/Album view? To make it more clear, here's an example:
  I have a song "D:\Music\SomeArtist\SomeAlbum\Song.mp3" and
a playlist  "D:\Music\Playlists\SomePlaylist.m3u", which contains this song.
  After I imported the playlist to MC, when I select  'Media_Library>>Audio>>Album/Artist>>SomeArtist>>SomeAlbum' in the right panel I get TWO files, one has it's 'Filename' as "D:\Music\SomeArtist\SomeAlbum\Song.mp3" and the other has "D:\Music\Playlists\..\SomeArtist\SomeAlbum\Song.mp3", but they, of course, point to the same file.  So, I got the duplicate.
  Maybe you know how to fix this?

         ::Thanks in advance::

How about deleting the duplicate entry?

Well, yeah, but I can't do it manually for all the songs from all the artists - there are about 3000 files in my media library! It would be nice to solve this problem with some kind of option or automatization... but how?  ?

Does right click - Remove Duplicates work?
