Title: MP3 Tags

I am currently using Music Jukebox 8.0. I thought that as items were added and edited to the library that the IDV1 or IDV2 tags were updated automatically.. However, I am looking through things right now and I noticed that many times the genre tag is not updated within the mp3 file. I tried various methods to try to force an update, but to no avail. I read quickly through some of the upcoming MJ 9.0 features and there is something about 'updating tags'. Will this function do what i need? Is there another solution? Thanks.

The file(s) attribute isn't set to Read Only, is it? That will prevent updating. The other possibility is bad tags (?).

Are you using the most current version of 8?  I had a problem with an older version of 8 that wouldn't save the genre when it started with a number, for example 80s instead of Eighties.
