Title: Album Rating with neato stars

relatively new to media center.  Created user defined field for album rating (as opposed to song rating).  Set it up just like the rating field, but would like to have the cool stars show up instead of the integers (1-5).  Is this possible?

Why don't JRiver add a new built-in field called Album Rating which averages the track ratings for that album?

Or, has this been suggested before / is this a dumb idea?

No, that's a great idea, but alas, it has been suggested before.   I don't recall there ever being any "official" response though.

Not in the slightest. An album rating field that does avg track ratings would be excellent, would allow viewschemes to show best of's across artists, genres, etc. Note however i would prefer it displayed album ratings as a figure rather than stars but i suppose the option could always be offered.

Currently i resort to using Scott Raymond's XSL to display album ratings after exporting fromMC using scott_r'se XML plugin and then displaying in IE. But ideally it should be in MC so it can be used in view schemes. Album rating should also be able to recalculate as traks gets promoted or demoted over time.

I think this might be possible in 11 if they offer the ability to do calculations in smartlists.
