Title: Change bands in MC equalizer?
Post by: soren on July 19, 2004, 08:05:41 am

Is it possible to change the bands that the EQ operates in as well their Q values?

I like to have 10 bands below 300 Hz.  EQ anything above 300 Hz is never a good idea (well maybe for headphones).

/Sören

Some DirectX audio plugins do this.  MC supports DirectX audio plugins through the DirectX Host DSP plugin.

MC uses 32-bits for all internal audio handling.  The only exception is Winamp 2 DSP plugin support, since they normally only support 16-bit streams.

Can anybody suggest a good 1/3 octave equalizer to use as a plug-in with Media Center?  I've spent some time with google and I don't think that I have found software that I am confident in getting functional?

This is what I have been using....
http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/products/howproduct.asp?PID=8&SPID=130

Has several different EQ's and is only $35.

You will need the DirectX host plug-in.
