Title: Feature Request: Tighter integration with other browsers [Firefox]
Post by: ahbrown41 on July 20, 2004, 09:33:50 am
Hello, I love MC but I truly do not like Microsoft IE so I use firefox as my default browser (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/).

I notice it appears IE is the embedded browser in MC, gecko (Firefox) also embeds ;); but that issue is not as important.

When I select to view a web site from the web section it opens IE, not my default browser which is Mozilla Firefox.

Would it be possible to use the default browser?  Is there a setting I am missing?

Thanks!!

**Also, my favorite radio station Radio Paradise does not load properly in MC from the web section.  It works from the Shoutcast website or if I open a PLS with the site info in MC.  Odd indeed.

I use Mozilla and when I click on a real media video stream (from BBC) media center gives me a message "please select files to play" . Is this MC?

Yes, I would love to get rid of IE, entirely, but it for these reasons that I cannot ..

I, too, am a Mozilla user ... More Privacy, Less ActiveX :)
