?
Recently I noticed that I need to crank up my receiver because every song I play through MJ has a very low volume. No, it's not because I need to move up the volume slider on the PC; It already is on its high end.
When I switch to the radio or a CD the volume I set my receiver to is in the normal range. This is the way it used to be with MJ, but for some reason I now need to double the volume on my receiver for MJ songs to get the same db level as either the radio or CD.
Background: I have a cable connecting the headphone jack on my computer to an RCA jack on the back of my receiver.
Any ideas?

Did you switch inputs on the receiver?
Right click on the speaker icon in MC to see options. Also check tools/options/playback settings. Check DSP settings. Replay Gain?

Problem solved! It seems that I somehow set the Replay Gain in the DSP Studio applet. It was sending everything out at minus 19db.
Thanks for the help.
