Hi everybody
I have used Media Center for a long time (from 8 to 9 versions) I wanted to upgrade to version 10 but appeared a topic "version 11.xxx alpha", I do not know what to do, there is no special price to upgrade from version 9 to version 10
Would you recommend version 10 or version 11 alpha as a good replacement for version 9?
Regards

MC11 isn't for sale yet. So just download MC10 and purchase. You could then try MC11 for a while. It currently works with an MC10 license.

I thought there was a upgrade path (Discount) from 9 to 10??
PRICE and UPGRADE info is here:

You're right, there is a discount to upgrade from MC9 to MC10, actually I have purchased MC10, and found some nice features I wanted in MC9 but still not completely satisfied with it, I think it is getting heavier (memory load) and some of the visualizations consume a lot of Processor time.
Well I hope MC10 get better soon
bye and thanks

The memory issue could be the size of your database. Lyrics and bio's can make it much larger.

Does this mean the upgrade from 10 to 11 will be free?

That won't happen.... THere are way tooo many New features, enhancements for them not to charge for this. Expect a reasonable upgrade charge.

So let me get this straight. The only way to try 11 is to buy 10, but if you like 11 you'll also have to buy that when it's finished. What I'm trying to find out is a way of trying 11 if you only have a license for Version 9. Will there be some point in time when I can actually try out 11 to see if it's worth buying, without also paying for 10 which I don't need?

wonmug,
Your best bet is to just wait a while. In a few weeks or at most, a couple of months, we will set the prices and policy.
