Title: On the fly conversion of WMA for iPod
Post by: ozmael on July 31, 2004, 01:36:18 am
My music library is in WMA format. If I get an iPod, can Media Center do an on the fly conversion to AAC during the sync'ing process? I'm hoping to leave my library in WMA and but send ACC formatted files to the iPod. I don't want to convert my library to MP3 or AAC.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Ozmael..

I've just noticed from other posts in the forum that MC doesn't natively support conversion to AAC.

So, I guess the better question is can MC do on-the-fly conversion to MP3 for the iPod?

Troy..

Troy,

Click on the 'Options' button in the Action Window or in the Sync dialagoue and you will see the option for converting files on the fly.

Do you have an 'Options' button in the Action Window?  If so, when you select it, do you not see a checkbox for 'Force file conversion during uploads?
