Hi,
Is it possible to load album covers automatically other than when ripping the CD. i.e. for existing rips.
Thanks,
AMuse

The best way is using King Sparta's cover art finder..
www.spartasoft.com
Or you can select the files that you don't have the art for, Right click Imgage, Get from internet...
Listening to: 'Toes Across The Floor' from 'Soup' by 'Blind Melon' on Media Center 11

Thanks for the link!

One related question though, is there an easy way (say using a smart playlist) to select all albums without a cover?
I need to be able to do something like that before the KingSparta's cover art finder can do it's thing...
Thanks

All you need to do is look at the image field, click on the headder for that field, and the files will be sorted by have and have not.
select all the have not and send to playing now.
or use
[Image File]=""
that will pull up all files with no image

Thanks! Running a big batch now ;)

... ok it's running and I've ticked "Save Cover Art In File Folder..." but at what point does it actually write the file?
Also, it's looking for the cover for every song in the same album. Can it be set to only look for the cover once per album?
Thanks,
Amuse

By the way, Media Center should already have a way to show you which tracks have cover art:
Go to Playlists. Under there, you've got Auto Smartlists (Music) and under *there* you've got Task -- no images.

thats what [Image File]="" does

but at what point does it actually write the file?
when media center writes it, the plugin does not write to the file, media center does.

Hmmm, it's finding the cover art for me, but it ain't showing the image in any f my album cover views... plus it's still coming up in the "no images" smartlist...
Also, any reponse on this one "Also, it's looking for the cover for every song in the same album. Can it be set to only look for the cover once per album?"?
Thanks

My point was that it's already there in MC - you don't *need* to know what the rule is for it...

Once it finds thefirst one, the others (Same Album) just use the same image.
If you are that concerned about it, If it's just putting the image in the Album folder you can just put 1 track per album in Playing Now then run it... However you will need to get MC to Find Coverart in folder, to attach itself to the other tracks.

Thanks for the idea, but first I gots to get it actually saving the image file in the first place!

you might want to change the cover art folder to something else
then exit
then go back and change it back
MC does not write the cover art location to the registry unless it is changed once
and if the program can't find it then it really will not save the art to the folder first
try that.
PS: I Just tested it it works fine

Thanks KingSparta that finally did the trick :@
