I'm sure I can't be the only one with this issue, but I can't find anything on the search...
I bought a song via iTunes, and then imported that into MC10. The file plays okay, and the Title and Artist display correctly - however, the Album field is empty. I tried copying and reimporting to iTunes, and it finds the Album, whereas MC doesn't seem to know it!
Anyone know why this happens, or how I can fix it? Surely I can't be the only one?!

I'm sure I can't be the only one! I even tried editing the album field in MC, then deleting and re-importing the file. Still a blank album!
Any ideas MUCH appreciated!
Mark.

Mark,
Can you email me the file?

This happens with almost all of my itunes tracks. I assumed it was due to apples lack of cooperation with the protected aac format.

Mark,
No need to send the file.
Brent and Mark,
The problem was that the Album tag in AAC is not always near the beginning of the file as anticipated. The code was optimized for speed to not scan the whole file which is why MC was not always picked up when files were imported. This is corrected and fixed in MC 11.

I'm using 11, but I haven't purchased from itunes lately.
If I do I will take a look at the album tag. I've been kind of holding off on buying new tunes to see what the new best buy store is like.
-
Brent,
The new version should work for files you already have if you delete and reimport them.

Steve,
Are there any plans to fix this in MC10? I am running a great stable system right now, and I'm not sure I'm ready for MC11 yet!
Cheers,
Mark.

This is in the next build of 10.
