There´s a tool called "gen_btrc" which is supporting WinAmp via Symbian mobile phones.
"Bluetooth mobile phone remote control for WinAmp
This is a general purpose plug-in for WinAmp that lets you use your bluetooth-capable mobile phone as a remote control. It uses accessory menus to give you full control over your multimedia center from anywhere within the bluetooth range..."
Cool.
Any plans to build in such a support in MediaCenter? Wuold be a great feature.

It's a good idea and something we've looked at. But it doesn't exist at this point.
-
Don't forget that there's also the version of Bemused for Symbian phones that supports Media Center:

Interesting! I'm getting my Siemens SX1 in a couple of days... ;)

for people with Sony Ericsson phones try FMA http://fma.sourceforge.net/ (http://fma.sourceforge.net/)
lots of features including text from your pc, outlook sync, make and receive calls and many others.

Though not for SonyEricsson phones that run Symbian....

....
P800 isn't a phone, its a PDA with phoning capabilities
T68i, T610, T630 and k700 etc are phones ;)
-
No, it's a phone with quite weak PDA capabilities. I tested it for a while before I decided against it and stayed with my Ipaq and phone combo.
-
A friend of mine has one and it seemed very PDA like when I used it with its touch screen and apps.
I certainly wouldn't call it a 'mobile phone', seeing as I couldn't easily get it in my pocket.
something in between perhaps.

The poster was specifically asking about *Symbian phones*. Whatever your opinions are on what a P800 is, it's not relevant - which is why I'm not going to argue you with you :-)
-
P800 is Symbian. Anyway, if the program mentioned above works, that will be good enough for me.
-
Of course P800 is Symbian, that was my point! The poster was asking about software for *phones* like the P800.
-
I think you'll find the post is called "Bluetooth mobile phone remote control". The symbian phone app was used as an example to show how bluetooth enabled phones can be used to control media apps.
FMA already has these controls for MC built in but only supports a few SE hand sets as far as I know. (Definitely the T610, T630 and K700)

Please read the original post better before you start to criticize others because they are going off topic:
