I want to upgrade MC 9.1 to MC 10. I want to be able keep my customized schemes. When I had to reload MC 9.1 a while back, there was opposite opinions on being able to save my schemes with a library backup. The backup did not work for me regarding my schemes being saved. The library backup saved and was restored successfully, at least that is what MC said. I ended up reloading MC 9.1, then copying over the new with the orginal files that I had saved on another PC. I got my schemes back, and everything is fine.
Question now is. If I upgrade to MC 10.0 and install over the existing MC, will my schemes be there or does anybody know what the file is/are that has the scheme data/config stored in it? Is that file MC 10.0 compatible?
Thanks for any and all the help.
JRiver, the more I use MC, the better it seems to get. Great product!!

When going from MC 9 to MC 10, you may need to recreate your schemes.
We realize this is a hassle, but the view scheme engine changed a lot between versions.
Normally it should only take a few minutes to recreate any custom schemes you want.
Thanks Jack.

If your talking about "View Skemes"
I don't remember, But don't see that as a major re-configure problem.
but i don't think there was a problem with moving from 9.1 to mc10

Unless I'm mistaken, I thought my View Schemes worked fine when I upgraded. I just installed over the top and voila...
