Okay, so the short story is that my mom have gotten somebody to make a sale video of a horse for her. It's a .mpg file.
So, here's the problem. The darn thing dosen't work! I can't play it back in MC or Windows Media Player. When using WMP it'll check the codec server but it will not find a usable codec.
So I've tried variues codecs but nothing seems to work. I can, however, play it back with Media Player Classic. In Mc it will only play the sound (a horrible techno mix... I think it's made by some teenage girls.) At first it played back turned around when using MPC, but now it plays right (I uninstalled some codecs.)
So, I would really appreciate some help on this one. I would also like to transcode it to something els which will be able to play on all computers corrects, as potential customers may have the same problem as we're haveing.
So, I have to look into a german paper for tommorow :-\
Thanks in advance,
Rasmus

I wonder if it is MPEG4. Try renaming it mov. Try playing it in Quicktime.

Didn't work with .mov. If it can help it's around 225mb and 7:21 (to say something about compression.)
Here's my sys specs if it helps:

Sounds like it isn't compressed. Try the people who made the movie.

So if anybody got an idea how to play this file please help me out here.
Thansk.

Try ffdshow, it can decode many types of video.

If it is compressed and you cant play it after installing that I would be supprised.
Like Jim said 225mb is large for 7:21 of compressed video.
