Title: Any way to convert iTunes file?
Post by: tlongacre on August 21, 2004, 12:38:17 pm
Okay, well here's one reason to NOT go totally digital with your music.

So, I am creating a slideshow for a church presentation. I want to use a song which I downloaded from iTunes. However, I can neither find any slideshow program that can read an m4p file nor anyway to convert the iTunes file to mp3.

Am I missing something? Is there some way to convert an iTunes file to mp3? Please?

If you bought the track I don't think the license terms allow public presentation. If that is not the case you can burn the file to an audio CD and rip to mp3.

Thanks for the tip! That should work.

I seriously don't think that sharing a song with 10 or 15 of my friends qualifies as public presentation. But who knows? The RIAA is not being at all rational these days.
