Are you using IE? Latest is IE6 SP1. Post your sys info from Help>System Info here. CDDB is dead as far as MJ is concerned (which leaves only YADB). Are you a registered MJ user?

@xenno :)
IE is already SP1.
This is my configuration.
Media Jukebox PLUS 8.0.388
Install Path: C:\Program Files\Media Jukebox\
CPU: Intel Pentium III 154 MHz MMX
Memory: Total - 261 MB, Free - 83 MB
OS: Microsoft Windows 2000 Workstation 5.0 Service Pack 3 (Build 2195)
Internet Explorer: 6.0.2800.1106
ComCtl32.dll: 5.50.4916.400
Shlwapi.dll: 6.00.2800.1106
Shell32.dll: 5.00.3502.5436
wnaspi32.dll: Internal ASPI Layer
There is no proxy or fire wall in my network.
Also YADB gives no result. I seems that any communication is not working. Also cover images do not appear.
Thanx for your help,
Charlie

Where and how do you get the "http processing error"? Can you post the exact text?
Thanks,

Here's the message
The Dialog is named "Internal error"
The Message is "HTTP processing error"
nothing else.
If I try to get additional information on an existing file via CDDB (context menu/properties/tools) I get the same message with code 82fa026a or alternatively "Socket open failed 82fa000a".
Hope this helps to find a solution.

Try the Backup License...Uninstall MJ...Update ASPI to v4.72 (preventative maintenance)...Reinstall MJ...Restore License bit (I think I mumble this in my sleep now, I'll need to be de-programmed someday).

how are you connected to the internet?

:( I have the same problem. I just started to use MJ and have windows XP.
-
If you're doing track lookup, that won't work with YADB, but should soon.
If you're using CDDB, there are other possible problems.
-
@xenno:
Re-installation does not help at all. The problem is still the same.
@john
it's a pure lan connection without any firewall, filters but DHCP. All other internet services work very well for quite a long time. There must be some strange things which MJ uses to access external services.
@evan
welcome to the club, it's great to feel not to be the only one...

I've done the reinstall now with no improvement. The other database you refer to YADB? is greyed out and I don't have that choice. Any suggestions?

Are you trying to do Track lookup or CD lookup?
Exactly where are you and what are you doing when you get the error?
Exactly where is yadb grayed out?
