Title: Deleting tags but still showing up in MC

I have deleted numerous artist tag fields and MC's library still shows the artist field for those songs.  I have checked both id3v1 and 2.  I have even created a new library and re imported the songs and still the fields show up .
Where else could it be pulling this data from?

I have MC 9 by the way.

Does this help?  Select the offending files (that you have cleaned), right click for library tools and select update library from tags.  Try on one or two files first...i'm typing this at work.

I think the problem was that I didn't erase the 'band' field and eventhough I would erase the artist field, it would somehow pull it from that(band) and then put it back into artist.

Really weird though.
