I would like to upgrade to MC11 on one of my systems because it appears to have fixed a problem that I have had for a LONG time...running MC on a limited user account under Windows XP. However, I am cautiously worried about upgrading to MC11 because it is still in beta status.
I currently use Media Server 10 on one PC and connect with Media Center 10 on all my others. My limited testing appears to show that MC11 clients can connect to a MC10 server and stream media without incident.
Do I need to be concerned if I leave my Media Server system at version 10 and upgrade one of my PC's to Media Center 11 (the one that uses the limited account)?
Will I create any other problems that I cannot think of by running two different versions?
Will I be able to access a V10 license after I upgrade to V11 if there are any unforseen problems?
Thanks,
Shadowen

Try it on one PC. You have 30 days to decide. But if you're using Media Server, you'll need to switch all PC's.

Actually a current MC 11 client can be used with MC 10 server. I guess it is because MC 11 can import (=understand) MC 10 database format. When a client connects it downloads the whole library at first.
MC 10 client does not work with MC 11 server.
