I'm introducing yet another friend to MJ and we would like to rip a couple CD's to MP3. Since he has no internet connection or phone line, how can I get the encoder installed to his computer? Naturally I would like to download it for him and sneakernet it over to his house and install it. I'm running MC so trying to download the MP3 encoder for MJ fails..
Thanks

Using IE, go to the plugins page and right click on the download link. Then do "save as" and save the mjp file to your desktop or other location. Open it with notepad to see how it works. Get the zip file it refers to. Edit the mjp file to change the location to wherever the zip file is.

Thanks Jim... I had atually tried that first but when I got only a few byte file I knew it wasn't the encoder and so I deleted it. I didn't even bother to try to open it up and see what was inside..
Thanks!
