Title: playing non-internaly supported file types
Post by: CDvd on September 01, 2004, 11:16:26 am
Playing files like m4p with MC is a painfull...

1) I'm wondering if it would be possible to have (at least) the track info working with them. It's impossible to see track lyrics or other information. I don't really like the "Media Center can not display...." message and having track info working (without visualization tags) would be better than just the artwork

2) Is there a way to convert m4p files into another supported format (simpler than burning/ripping)?

3) Does JRiver need to licence something from apple to allow native playback of these files? and if so, will it happen someday?

David.

It isn't possible to license anything from Apple.  Apple doesn't cooperate with anyone.

I'm starting not loving apple at all...

I hope that with what seems to happen to MC, I will be soon able to totally forgot Itunes (and his music store)...
