I have been a long time user of MJ8, MC9, and just downloaded a trial of MC 10.
When I went to import all my media (almost all MP3's) it consistently crashes. I get an error message of
Media Core has encountered a problem and needs to close.
I had no problems importing the same media in MC9.
I am running MC10 trial

Can you try to import in small batches to find the culprit file?
If you find it, please send a copy to matt @ jriver.com
Thanks.

I beleive it is .......
The Time-Life Treasury Of Christmas (Disc 1 of 3 - Christmas Spirit) - 11 - The Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, Leonard Slatki - March Of The Toys.mp3
This is a very long file name. Is there a problem with very long file names? This file successfully imported into MC9 (or at least it didn't crash it when importing)

I had a similar problem. Also involving a filename with a comma.

I downloaded and installed v10.0161 of MC10 onto my music server which was running MC9 previously as well onto my workstations which was a virgin install of MC.
The file still crashes MC10 on import when on the server but does not on my workstation.
Could there be something still lingering on my server when it was running MC9 that would cause this to crash.
It imported fine on my workstation.
