I am running MC 10.0.155 Registeered.
With a wav file in playing now and selected, if I go to Tools>Advanced Tools the Convert function is greyed out. Can someone tell me what the problem is?
Thanks!

Does not happen here.
Do you have many wave files? Is it the same for all?
What is the exact file format? Look at Action Window (lower left corner) -> File Properties -> File Type Info.
Did you rip or convert the file to wave format with MC. If not, what program was used?
Did it work with earlier versions? Could you try 10.0.161? (It's in the first thread in this forum.)

It was a continuous wav of an entire album created by EAC.
I will work on your other suggestions.

I have 10 Wav files of entire albums created with EAC. Each file is 70-100MB in size.
I have upgraded to MC 10.0.161
File info is
wav
Uncompressed Audio File (PCM)
44.1 khz, 16 bit, 2 ch
I don't know if it worked with earlier versions as I have not tried to convert wavs to mp3s (as a 2 step process) before this version.
Musicmatch and EAC can convert these files to VBR MP3s fine... only seeing this issue with MC
Note that Import Media, Acquire Images, Rip CD, Burn CD, Record Sound, Analyse Fromat and Convert are ALL greyed out
If I select an mp3 file in playling now, convert is also still greyed out.

That should be 400 - 800 MB. Are they CD singles?

So most of the functionality is missing? Something is really wrong. When you lost those other things?
I could try to guess possible reasons, but I hope someone knows.

You didn't bother to mention you are using Media Server connection. It is like that on the client side. Unless your MC is really somehow mixed up.
Client mode is read only and those functions are disabled by design.

Yes I figured it out last night that switching to a local Media Library brings back all the features. Never occured to me to mention that I was in client mode. It all become clear now.
Thanks Alex!
