I haven't ever used MC to play a DVD, however I tried to play one tonight and it gave me a message that I didn't have a decoder installed.
Do I have to install some other decoder software before MC will play back dvds? Or is there a dvd plug-in that I have to install before it will work?
My DVD-RW drive is a LiteOn LDW-451s. It did come with some software (Cyberlink PowerDVD and Sonic MyDVD) but I haven't installed them since I moved this drive to the new pc I just built. Do I have to install software like this for MC to play DVDs?
Thanks
Tim

I think you do. I have WinDVD installed on mine and it works.

I went ahead and installed PowerDVD and it works now. So apparently you do have to have some type of software decoder installed.
Thanks
