Title: OT: Can anyone suggest a good backup program?
Post by: Michel Lefebvre on September 05, 2004, 06:21:52 pm
Hello,

Can anyone suggest a good backup program that will copy data to DVD's? With almost 200 GB of music, I really need a new solution.

Thanks!

M.

Thanks everyone.

I'm going to use Nero BackItUp for now...

Only 34 DVDs to go! LOL!

It sure would be nice if MC could do incremental backups natively. The media database is already there, the capability to copy or burn files is also there. It would only need to store a "backed-up" flag in the database for each file. If there are new files of if files changes (for example when changing the ID3 info) , then MC could offer to back up these files to another HD or DVD.

But wait, maybe this can be done somehow with a custom field and smart playlists... I'll have to look into that...

Michel.
