I have an HP Photosmart 7960 that was a recent replacement for a machine that was under warranty
Its started printing photographs with the first 1/2" to 2" (left to right) fine and then losing a color, so for example green trees turn blue, an orange bench seat turns pink. I've tried replacing the print cartridge, cleaning the print cartridges and restarting the printer and PC but still a problem. This happens with graphics programs from Microsoft and Adobe.
Windows XP Pro.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Do you have the latest drivers for your printer?

Yup, tho' it wouldn't hurt to update. I'll try that.
Thanks!

I'd do an internal test to rule out any problems with the driver or OS. If it prints the internal test page OK, I'd bet it's a driver issue.

Yup it was the printer driver, installed the latest and the problem went away, thanks for the help folks! :)
