Title: Audio & Images
Post by: Dragyn on September 08, 2004, 06:29:27 pm
Am I the only one that gets confused with this stuff? It's like other features that confuse users are fixed/removed and I think to myself...why on earth would they do that. And now, this is very confusing and I wonder the same thing.

Maybe not a lot of people use Images and that would be a reason why?

So lets see what the majority is and then I'll make my rant based on the outcome of this poll.

What needs fixing with image support?  Maybe just drop it in the bug thread.

And my brain is still trying to figure out what a "none" vote would mean...

Given that other data files are supported in MC11 this vote does not cover enough options!

It's not a bug. It's the way they currently work. I'll see if I can posting something up later.

I wanted to see if anyone would pick that.  :P

I only had 8 options. Maybe someone could rename none to something else or list them here.

When you play just images, the send to works fine..like for playlists. When you play audio, the send to does not work the same as before. It does it on the audio file and not on the image file. When the music stops, the images dissappear.

Drag and dropping images also has the same effect. If there's no audio playing, the playing now list fills up. If there is audio playing, nothing is to be found because that "list" is now inside the Image window.

This is why it's so confusing. I never know what MC is gonna do until it does it.

If audio is playing, MC will start "dual playback" so you see images and hear audio all at once.

Stop playback before starting images if you don't want this.

I know....that's exactly why I started this thread.  ::) :P

Yeah, but it's like it is on purpose.  We haven't figured out any better way to handle dual playback, and it's something we think is really nice sometimes.

I selected Audio..

I never use the Photo or Video....

I also use the Document Handler ALOT... this has been a great help at work...

I use audio and video, but seldom use images.  But that could change if MC 11 can make digital albums with music, transitions and on DVD!

I've been doing some thinking (again, I know)...
Could it be possible to have an 'automatic' delay between images? Like take an average instead of 5, 10, 15, etc secs.
Sometimes when I play files with images, I see the same images over and over until the song(s) end.

I don't know about the other issue....trying to make some adjustments here.
