Title: Upgrade
Post by: TheWiz on September 09, 2004, 11:37:38 am
Hi

Checked the FAQ's etc. but no joy.  Happy user of Media Jukebox for years, and paid for the 'Plus' features.  Out of interest downloaded Media Center, like what I see, but how much is the upgrade ?   On the purchase page it doesn't make it clear.  When I go to Menu:  Help / Buy Media Center - it quotes a price of $24.98 and makes no mention of an upgrade ....

Surely there is an upgrade path, no ?

Thanks for your help -

Patrick

from the faq

Quote
A version 8 license can be upgraded to version 10 for $14.98

however you may want to just buy MC11 at the discount price of $24.xx (I would)

Thanks KingSparta - that's what I thought.   But how do I get it to recognize the fact that I'm upgrading ?   Very happy to pay $10 for MC10 or MC11  !

(ps.  Can't find any trace of my Media Jukebox software now that MC has replaced it with the 30 day trial version)

if you have MJ8 registered with a MJ8 license (not with a MJ7 license) and you install MJ 10 and go to help the buy button there should llow you to get MC10 at a discount.

I am sure you can not buy MC11 for $10 since you have MJ8 and that is jumping to many versions.

you can\should get mc11 from the buy button under help for $24.xx as advertised for a limited time (not sure how limited that is).

Aaaah - thanks.  Maybe it was an MJ7 license.  I'll jump straight to MC11 at $24.xx ....  Great software - and a great update.
