Title: Newbie - couple questions
Post by: jdbrown on September 14, 2004, 04:37:02 pm
Just started demoing the software in the 30 day freebie.  So far, it is great!

Plan is to use mostly the TheaterView as part of my HTPC using Girder and a remote.  Couple questions.

If I buy v10 now, what is my cost, if any, when v11 comes out.  I ask, because I notice that is already in Alpha testing.  In other words, does the purchase price include any "upgrade protection".

Second question is in regards to functionality.  In TheaterView, I have imported an image directory and can scroll thru the images.  But the image always remains in a small window at the bottom left.  Any way to have the image being viewed take up more of the screen or the fullscreen?  From 10 feet it is barely visible.  I would assume so, but coudl not find anything in the Help file.  Thanks.

No

I recomend you buy MC11 Now, the dbase is a bit faster. it states Alpha in the forum i think to scare weak users. The program is beta but stable.

I been using it since MJ6 and for the most part the betas are rather stable

MC11 is better now than MC10 (My 2 Cents)

PS: I don't use "TheaterView"

Welcome to Interact.

Explore options in playback settings and explore right click options when in Theater View.  Also try F11 and ctrl-w keys.

There is a link to pricing near the top of each MC11 thread.

It's a test of manhood.  Or womanhood.  Or something.

OK, got the F11 working to toggle to TheaterView using the Girder USB-UIRT file found in v10.  Very cool!  Also got almost everything else working in Girder with one exception.

How (where in the GML file) can I control the browsing thru the playlist and selecting songs or albums while in the TheaterView mode?  I do not see any associated commands in the GML for this?  I set up cursor control using another GML I had, but have not figuired out how to "select".  Ideas?

Unrelated, but is there a way to control which audio and video decoders MC uses.  I see it came with it's own set, but can I use others ie: Sonic?

Thanks!

For Girder help, you're better off to start a new thread or use the girder forum.  You can find it here:
