Is this where MC is headed?

I could use 160 mil
I wonder if they will honer the lifetime upgrades they sold users (I am guessing, the answer is No)

My ISP (Bell Sympatico Canada) gives me free Gold Music MX subscription, I hope with this new merger, this does not get eliminated...

Thanks for posting the story.
Now that Google is flush with cash, I think I just heard Jim say, "Oh Google--Over here" :o

What a poorly written article that is. Was the guy even trying?

Unless something changed in the last 2 years or so, they stopped doing that. I bought a lifetime upgrade license a long time ago, and last time I tried to upgrade, they basically told me "too bad".

Really, I bought one back in like 1996BM - 1997BM (BM = Before Media Jukebox)
Maybe i should try it out to see if it still works.

There is a link if you have a lifetime upgrade, They still honor them

I just tried mine yesterday (that I bought for version 3) on version 9 and lo and behold, it worked. The thing is still bloated and crappy.

Well let's hope we get a version of MC that we are happy with before they get bought out. Cause it will take forever to implement changes once this happens. And whomever buys it will defnitely dumb it down for the masses and make it YAMM (YetAnother Media Manager)
I'm thinking winamp, before AOL decided to get fresh with it ;) ,winamp 2.9 is lean and works well, cant say the same about later versions. Actually it was araound this time i discovered MC so did not investigate further :)
