Hi All,
I'm trying to use my on-board CMedia 9761A 6-Channel audio to drive 3 separate zones of music. I've set the card to 6-channel mode and in the Zones setup I have the following:
Zone A: DirectSound Left Font & Right Front
Zone B: DirectSound LFE & Center
Zone C: DirectSound Left Rear & Right Rear
I assumed this would allow me to play 3 separate songs, one to each Zone, and have the audio come out the appropriate set of outputs on the sound card. However, what I'm getting is all 3 songs playing out the Left Front & Right Front outputs!?!
Edit - Forgot to add System Info:

So, no one else has tried running multi-zone with a CMedia card? I'd like to hear any reports for CMedia based cards, not just those with the 9761A chip.
Thanks!

Sorry, I didn't see this one before... It doesn't work. Simple as that. I have tried three different on-board chips (or at least three diferent motherboards) and one PCI card (Zoltrix), and it's simply impossible. If you want one card with several zones you need to go to high-end cards like M-Audio or simply go for SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 or newer. I have four different generations of those and two generations of Audigy, and they all work perfectly with multi-zone sound when I use the kX Drivers.

That's what I was afraid of...
Hey JRiver guys, this doesn't seem like it should be a driver issue, since games and the demo programs that come with the soundcard are able to send sound to whatever speaker they want. Any chance you can look into this?

Have the same problem with an Audiotrak Maya EX5 (usb) card. Its a 5.1 card also and I wanted to do the same. Other programs and the Maya control panel can send audio to different speakers, but not MC 11.
