Title: Sample rate for mp3-32kbps encoding?

Could someone please tell me what the sample rate for the default mp3 decoder is in MC?  Can it be changed?  Also, can mono or stereo be selected like some other encoders I've seen?  I seem to be have an issue with my Zen Xtra Jukebox with MP3 files I've created using MC at 32kbps.

MC uses LAME as the default MP3 encoder.

If I recall correctly, LAME automatically downsamples the sample rate when you start encoding at really low bitrates. I'm not sure if you can overide that behavior using custom command line switches.
