Title: WINXP SP2 Installed - MC11 does not start
Post by: bbrip on September 22, 2004, 05:48:31 pm
I have instlaled the XP Service Pack 2. Since then, my Media Center 11.0.85 does not start at all.

Any clues ?

Many thanks

Scan your computer for viruses and spyware.

Also try disabling any programs that insert themselves into all processes like a virus scanner or adware program.

I have instlaled the XP Service Pack 2 and mine still works, and so does many other users, so it is not a service pack\MC Problem.

I had to un-installed sp-2 to update mc but it did work with the sp-2 but I can't update it  to a higher version. Weather it's version 10, or 11 so your not alone having problems since updating to sp-2. I took it off my cpu. for now. Funny thing is MC is that it's the only program i have problems with under sp2. Since MC has a update everyday sp2 is on the backburner for me right now, and lately I don't have time to figure it out right now.
