I am trying to use media dukebox for the first time. When I put a CD in I get the following error:
CDDB: Malformed command sent from server to client (82fa001c)
This means I can't get any track information.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

MJ shouldn't be trying to use CDDB...first, make sure you have the latest build.
Under settings > options > device settings the CD information database shoud be set to YADB.

mmm - I don't have that option. Must be because I have version 7.2.280.
Also tried to re-establish my CDDB registration and got the following error.
Passed query not in local data store.
Interesting.

Is there some reason you haven't upped it to 8.0.388 yet?
Assuming your licensed and it is a v7 license then your good to go on v8. Save that MediaJukebox7.rrg file to a VERY safe place....download v8....uninstall v7...make sure you have latest OS SP's, ASPI, etc....install v8...copy rrg back over to MJ dir....restore the license.
I was resistant to v8 at first until I saw the light. Ever since I upgraded I've had good fortune (won the lottery, was given an abandoned Ferrari F40, and no longer suffer from hang nails & chronic leprosy) :D.

YADB so far has sucked for any CD's I have requested info for where as CCDB has worked almost flawlessly. If one ain't working, go to the other.

Some entries will corrupt any database (even Oracle and SQL Server). They should be avoided at all costs!
Examples of this are Britney Spears, Tiffany, and New Kids on the Block, to name a few.

King,
If the Dolphins win tonight...
Could you have your diver pull a Packer flag (with a couple of bites out of it)?
Or...
Have him carry the flag in his hands but with one of his legs missing and stuck in a dolphin's mouth?
In either case have their mouths' wide open.
That would be so 8)!
