Title: cache thumbnails?

I use MC on my computers via a MC server.  When I load pictures and cover art  (thumbnails)it seems to load really slow.  When I exit MC and start it again, I have to load all the picture thumbnails again.  Is there a way to store this locally on a computer?  I am not sure why the MC server loads the picture slow, but if I map a drive and use the thumbnail view options its really fast.

media server has to download the image file and then create the thumbnail image.

when media server streams ape/apl files and uses thumbnails images that are already made, then I'll make the switch. I have been using mapped/unc for a long time since it's faster like you already said.
