Title: Help! Seem to have wiped out tag info.

I have Media Center 9. While trying to delete one of my user created genre types, I seem to have deleted all my tag information in all fields. By that I mean not the field names themselves, which remain, but the data within fields. For instance, "Genre" shows 0 rather than the several genre types I created. Same for Artist, Name, Album name etc.  I have checked and the underlying folders and files have not been deleted. I can play the songs directly from the files, so I know the music is there.

Does anyone know a way I can restore the tag data that I created but have now lost? I shudder to think of the state I have put myself in. There's got to be a way! Thanks.  Tom T.

i feel sorry for you.

i am currently trying to make a program that will keep all your data off line (like on my server) and if this happpens you can just tell it to download all your info again.
