Title: mp3 encoder download

Ok...I am trying to download the MP3 Encoder from http://www.musicex.com/cgi-bin/downloads/plugins.pl?type=7 and it downloads fine then gives me an error message that says "Failed to install package. More infor: Failed to register object. Error 1157. c:\Program Files\J River\Media Jukebox\Plugins\enc_mp3.dll how do I deal with this?

You need to be logged in as a user with sufficient privileges to write to the registry.

Use IE to download.

There is a section in the FAQ on plug-in download problems.

I am using IE.  The FAQ on plug-in problems doesn't address my issue. Also, I'm sorry, but what do you mean? Logged in as a user who can write to a registry in Windows? In MJ? How do I do this?

What version of windows are you using? What is the full version number of MJ that you are using?
