Title: Girder Theater View Navigation
Post by: Chazworth on September 29, 2004, 11:48:56 am
This is embarrassing to even ask, but I have been using Girder and the MC9_131.gml to control my MC v10 with great success for the last few months.  I am now hoping to also use my remote control to control the Theater View mode so that I can select music while looking at a TV in a room separate from my PC/AV room.

So, my question is, using the .gml file I mentioned above, what are the commands to do basic Theater View navigation such as left, right, up, down and enter?  I don't see any commands in the .gml that have those descriptions, and I have experimented with no success to figure out the navigation.

Thanks.  Charlie

Simulate the keyboard buttons.

Also, MC 11 has an improved Theater View and supports Girder input plugins.  That's another route you could take.

Matt -- Thanks.  I was successful, and I see that a little Girder 101 is in order.  I am looking forward to MC 11, and may give it a shot.

Matt, would you please explain the use of the Girder input plugin some more or point me to some doc. on what it is/where it is available?  Thanks.
