After installing SP2 for XP and if I ask MC10 to stream web radio Real media, the XP firewall reports Windows firewall has blocked some features of this program, and asks Do you want to keep blocking this program?
I'm sure what is being blocked is innocuous, and I should feel free to clik on 'unblock' ... however, I thought JRiver should comment and put all our minds to ease. I should also ask if the firewall is blocking MC, or if it's blocking the Real player (I happen to be using Real Alternative).
EDIT: I should note ... JRiver is indicated as the software publisher of the blocked software ... and I don't get the same message if I ask MC to stream a webradio 'WMV' stream ...

No idea what it's doing. Did you try Microsoft?
You can be sure that Media Center isn't doing anything it shouldn't do.

Nothing regarding the specific message in the M$ knowledgebase.
I cannot speak for those who may not be satisfied with you can be assured, but I assume you are correct. I do however believe you ought do explore what's happening.
The following 2 URLs prompted me for a response ... to block, or not ... but the message does not block the stream ... it'll continue to stream while you think about which button to push.
