Title: Mutiple users in Win XP
Post by: mikelinz on October 02, 2004, 07:29:38 pm
I have set up 4 users accounts on the puter under Win XP Home ed

2 Computer Administrator and 2 Limited accounts

When I try to run Media centre on the 2 limited ac's I get a dialog box saying:

"Infomation

Sorry, but you don't have enough rights to run the program. Please make sure you have at least Power User Rights.

[ok]"

This problem resolved itself previously when i registered the program but lost it when i changed the users (added one, changed the name of the other)

I wonder if reinstalling media centre might then pick up all users or is there an easier way??

cheers Mike

Here on the forum in your thread?   ;D

You must have V11.0.12 or higher to use without PowerUser priviliges.

11.0.12 (7/2/04)

8. NEW: Media Center runs without power user / administrative priveleges.

You'll have to upgrade to MC 11 Alpha for this feature.  Check towards the top of this board to find the download.

It's still in alpha so there could be some glitches.
