Title: Bug: Filtering by month
Post by: Polonio on October 03, 2004, 05:37:36 am
I've build the following view: Year/Month/Genre/Album

...and the "Month" pane does not work. When I select any month, no images are showed...

Can any one else reproduce the bug?

Yep.  Me too.  I have a view that uses year/month/day.  Its useless for pictures right now.  The month tree view (and I imagine column view) items do not work (they show no files).  Since I use MC for a Photo database, this is a critical issue and I will probably have to switch back to 10.0 until it is fixed.   Oh well ...

Since both the Date (Year) and Date (Day) items work, I would suspect that they broke a piece of the monthname <-> monthnumber filtering logic ... Meaning when you select Months in the view they show up named (January, April, etc) but they are actually stored in the files as numbers (1, 4, etc).  Whatever code does this is probably broken somehow I suspect.

I saw this, too.  We'll get it fixed in tomorrow's build.

Thanks for reporting it.

Thanks Jim!  Crisis averted.   :)
