Title: MC11- Update Library

I know it has changed but I forget how to:
1. Update the library
2. Change media mode display (details, thumbnails, etc)

I checked the help file but it still refers to the Update Library command from ver 10. The help file also tells me to change views from a right click but I can't find it.

Can someone help me out please?

(I did a search on "update library" but couldn't find the answer)

Update Library,

File
Library
Import Media

THere are option available on the dialogue box, ie, fix broken links etc.

The view question...
View  -  Customize current view.

Thanks imjustagamer! I was starting to feel like your avatar looking for the update library command. I got it now. I'll be glad when the help files get updated.

Lise won't update the files till 11 is gold.... That will probably be way in the future...

Just play around and check things out... Read the boards and you will be a pro in no time.

I wanted to remove files listed in the library which were no longer there (the 1000 mp3's I just removed from my handheld device (nomad jukebox 3) and the only way I could do it was to choose the files and then choose delete.  I don't WANT to import media but would like to get rid of files listed in my library which aren't there.  How do we accompilish this?

You would have to run the import.... If there are no new files... it should only take a min...

And my question is:
Why change something so easy like it was in version 10 to something more "difficult"?

As much as i love Media Center, there's always things that i don't understand very well in the making of new versions. Most of it is good, but some changes...  ?, well, i don't undestand them. Of course, i know that with time i'll get fond to the new way of update files, but.... The first time i wanted to make an update in v11 i almost get mad trying to know what i had to do.

We're going to add an import by directory before we ship MC11.
