Did you find the FAQ here on Line in Recording?

Please try Help inside MC, also.

If MC says clipping distortion is too high, it means the sound signal MC is receiving is too loud to record cleanly. First, verify that you're using the line-in jack and not the microphone jack on the sound card to record the sound. If that's not the issue, try lowering the volume (if possible) on the device that is playing the music.
If none of that works, try recording the music (ignoring the distortion warning) and see how it sounds. It may be acceptable to you.

Do you need to record it at all? Most games have their sounds in discreet audio files - have a look through the game's folders.
