Title: Playing MKV files, what gives?
Post by: chefgeoff on October 29, 2004, 02:46:23 am
I've been backing up my DVDs using the MKV container, because it supports  subtitles, multiple audio tracks, and it works well. WinMediaPlayer plays all the audio tracks at once, so I use MediaPlayerClassic. I have all the directshow filters installed, so the mkv files play in all the other media players, but not in Media Center  :(
If anyone knows how to get them to play or whatnot, please and thank you

P.S. Media Center is the only media jukebox app that is worth paying for.

Try the new Media Center 11 alpha. It has support for .MKV and .OGM files.
