Title: FLAC -> MC -> Apple Lossless -> iPod.
Post by: paragmehta on November 01, 2004, 01:02:56 pm
Can anyone suggest if this can be done.  I have not purchased an iPod but am thinking of one.  My media is all FLAC, and I guess iPod does not play FLAC, so the nearest format it can play is Apple Lossless (anything else as compresses as FLAC and lossless?).

Can MC manage a FLAC collection and sync it up as necessary in a different format?  Or do I need 2 collections in different formats, one that is compatible with iPod?

Thanks.

paragmehta,

MC 11 provides limited support for FLAC using a third party plugin. You can read more about it here....

You could convert to wav which iPod supports, but doing this on the fly to iPod is not currently supported.
