I've got my reciever plugged into my sound card and I found that I have to uncheck "digital playback" in order to play CDs -- otherwise, I get silence.
Then I ripped a .wav file and when I "play" it I get silence -- even though "digital playback" is unchecked.
Why would a CD disk play fine, and the .wav be silent?

Does the .wav file play OK in other apps?
Please post your system info from within MJ (Help, System Info, Copy to Clipboard).
Also, what are your settings in Settings, Options, Playback?

Try opening the volume control from your control panel
or system tray and check if you have muted or turned
down the volume of Wave output - the volume for
different audio types can be controlled separately so this
could explain why CD Audio plays fine and WAV files do
not.
