I purchased the license for the beta version, is this one backward compatible with the commercial life version?

can i install the latest working version (not beta) with the license for the beta and still work?

There is no commercial life version.

If you have an MC10 license, it works with any version of MC10.

I have and mc10 license then I upgraded to use the beta mc11, hence I'm not sure if this upgrade voided my mc10 license.

If you paid for a MC10 license you have a MC10 license

if you paid for a upgrade to MC11 you have one for MC10 and one for MC11

if you go to the restore page you can have the server send you a copy of the licenses you own.
