Title: Question about sorting in panes.

Ok, I'll make this short and simple. Is it possible to sort an "Album" pane's listing by year. Example:

Current listing is alphabetical like so:

Amnesiac
The Bends
Hail to the Theif
Ok Computer
Pablo Honey

What I would like to see is the album sorted by the year. Like so:

Pablo Honey
The Bends
OK Computer
Amnesiac
Hail to the Theif


I've figured out how to have them sorted by Album in the list view. However, that is actually not what I want for the list view. Anyway, any suggestions?

You can create a composed custom field "Year - Album" (don't recall if it's already a standard field, I'm not at home now) and use it in your panes instead of the "Album" field.

It will look like this:

1994 - Pablo Honey
1996 - The Bends
1998 - OK Computer
2000 - Amnesiac
2004 - Hail to the Theif

Thanks for the info. That's of the ones I already came across. This produces the desired effect, except that I dont want the year shown, only the album title.
