Post by: Marina on November 05, 2004, 04:01:01 am
I`ve bougt Jukebox programe two years ago, got registration code and installed it. My old computer was crashed. I`ve bought a new one. How can I reinstall Jukebox  on new computer using my old registration code?
Is it possible?

You can restore your license using the "restore" page:

Make sure that you're using MS Internet Explorer as your default browser and that you have the lastest build of Media Center (whatever version your license is valid for) installed.

Hope it helps. If it does not, please wait until someone from JRiver arrives at the forum in a couple of hours before attempting to do a new restore. Perhaps the restore page is down at the moment.

Something else might bt important.  Programmer who servised my computer transfered all software from old computer to the new one including Jukebox program and play lists.  It doesn`t work, of course.
Probably this version prevents restoring?

Please read the FAQ here:

www.mediajukebox.com/license

Copy your system info from MJ Help and paste it here.

Check the version there against the version on the download page.

Marina, there's a new version in the download page (8.0.400)

http://www.musicex.com/mediajukebox/download.html

May I suggest that you install that version and then try to restore your license.

If I download new version, could it destroy my playlists or something?

It should not, but you may want to backup your library first.

Marina,
If you mean that you see a jukebox image and then the program won't start, try uninstall.  Choose "remove registry entries", reboot, reinstall.

I mean I see image for 30 second and then the Jukebox window is closed.
I am afraid to uninstall because I am afraid to lost my playlists. JB closed so fast that I couldn't to copy anything.
